How many acoustic wall panels do I need?
Dividing wall area by panel area gives a useful starting point, but it can underestimate what you need when the panel height, slat direction or cuts do not suit the wall.
Nominal coverage before cutting
| Format | Pack | Coverage |
|---|---|---|
| 240 × 60cm panel | 1 panel | 1.44m² |
| 300 × 60cm panel | 1 panel | 1.80m² |
| 260 × 30cm Premium | 2 panels | 1.56m² |
| 60 × 60cm tiles | 4 tiles | 1.44m² |
Calculate a straight grid
Divide the wall width by the panel width and round up. Divide the wall height by the panel height and round up. Multiply those two numbers to get the number of panels, then divide by the pack quantity and round up again. This estimates a straight grid without reusing offcuts.
Example: a 300cm-wide, 240cm-high wall
With vertical 240 × 60cm panels, you need five columns and one row: five panels. With 260 × 30cm Premium panels, you need ten panels, supplied in five two-packs, and must account for trimming the height. With 60 × 60cm tiles, you need five columns and four rows: twenty tiles, supplied in five four-packs.
Allow for your actual layout
Rotating the panels changes the calculation. Doors, windows, uneven walls, pattern alignment and damaged cuts can also affect quantities. Do not subtract the area of an opening unless you know the remaining pieces can be used elsewhere. Add spare material based on the cutting plan and installer advice, rather than assuming one waste percentage suits every room.
For a taller wall, compare 3m panels and select the 300x60cm option on the product page. Confirm pack quantities and access for delivery before ordering.
